I was shocked to discover, just now, that I haven't written about the kittens in a couple of months, and that I haven't even uploaded a photo of them to Flickr since May 25th. I mean, what is the internet for, if not for writing about this cute thing my cat did?
They've both gotten a lot bigger, and they're not that interested in being held in arms or laps. They'll climb on your shoulder, but they're too big to really stay balanced very long. I had really thought they would differentiate more in looks as they got older, but they're still essentially identical. If they got out of their collars, I'd have to watch their behavior to tell them apart.
Moxie climbs, just like she did when we adopted her. She likes to be up as high as she can get. She likes to get onto the ledge between the two panes of the window, but she doesn't understand that there isn't another level of "up" to get to, and stretches looking for a hold to get up into the ceiling. Moxie is very adventurous, but not very dignified. She likes to sit with her belly pushed out, and her front paws tucked back almost behind her (Kind of like this). It's incredibly silly looking, and I sort of adore her for it.
Mina has stopped biting as much, thank goodness. She seems to be in charge of the Dan4th wake-up call. I have been generally successful in convincing them that a gentle lick on the nose is a better way to get breakfast than stomping my bladder. Still, it's a constant struggle. Mina is much more ladylike and demure in her posture. She is more likely to pose like an Egyptian statue, with her forepaws delicately crossed at the ankles. She also has only two facial expressions: stunned and disdainful.

Kittens! They really are adorable.
They're the kissingest kittens I've ever met. It's weird: they were kept with their mother longer than any other kitten I've ever had, but they still lick everyone. I'm not sure why that would be.
